 TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR JAMB SUCCESS




…now that you have been given  theoretical explanations  on jamb techniques (less work without cheating parts 1 -7) you need to build some confidence in yourself to maximize the benefits of those notes…one way to start is by the 10 commandments stated below…

1.Thou shalt fill thy jamb forms smartly especially thy choices of universities,courses, jamb exam subjects and exam format.


2.Thou shalt plan thy studies and follow up  with your examination plan without wavering.

3.Thou shalt make thy exam scrapbook as thou wert commanded based on past question papers

4.Thou shalt make use of past Q/A booklets smartly as indicated .Thou shalt also decide which of the two new examination formats shall be most suitable for  thy strategies. Most candidates,however, are avoiding computer-based format for now!

5.Thou shalt  know thy exam location and case its environment and exam hall long before the actual date of exam.

6..Thou shalt regularly remind thyself about thy plan for the exam day.Thou shalt also keep faith with the techniques thou have just learned through constant and relevant practice.

7. On the day of the exam thou shalt focus on thy techniques and not on unreliable  alligators  surrounding thy presence

8.In the exam hall though shalt plan the timing of thy answers and keep strictly to the plan

9. Thou shalt also answer easier topics and subjects first.If taking maths restrain thyself from  taking even a peep at it until thou hast answered all the others (if it is one of thy subjects)

10. And lastly but not the least,thou SHALT answer all questions!

1. Be generally prayerful and avoid careless and carefree attitudes

2.Note the practical tools mentioned in parts1 to 7 of the write-up mentioned above.These tools are:

(a) Jamb Syllabus…(b).personal daily reading time table…(c)examination study plan on a weekly basis showing topic allocation over a 12-week period…this plan must cover most topics which came out in the exam 3 to 5yrs before…(d) examination scrapbook..(e) past Q/A booklets covering the four subjects to be taken…(f)…remember to use edupedia’s jamb techniques matrix with those Q/A booklets..(g) sample objective  answer sheets for practice…(h) a personal computer at home or at a cybercafe depending on choice of exam format

3.Keep a step-by-step plan of how u intend to tackle the exam in the hall…either on a piece of paper or in your head…

4.Remember that  jamb questions are EASY,HARD AND POSSIBLE/DISTRACTERS/TIME WASTERS.Also remember that the time wasters determine the fate of many students by slowing down their pace.

5.Remember also that jamb answer options are Best answers,Partially Correct answers,Partially Wrong answers and Worst answers.

6. Also remember that applicable techniques for the question types listed above are operation sweep(easy),bafana bafana (hard) and ogbunigwe(possible).

7. The day before the exam ensure that your id card registration slip and purchase receipt original plus photocopies are with you. Your pen pencil, eraser, sharpener, log table etc.are kept at a place where your kid brother or sister cannot get  at them



same day other groups were at shoprite and megaplaza…those for business studies were given points to observe at those trading places…

8. On the day of the exam leave home very early .On getting to the exam location keep your composure. Remember that other students are also as nervous as you are but the difference is that some persons can look cool, calm and collected on the surface despite the anxiety within them.

 9. Disregard those reading textbooks at the exam centers but you may refer to your scrap book if you want to. Do not take any textbook to the exam hall

10.Jamb’s focus is on speed and accuracy.A MATHS PROFESSOR CAN FAIL jamb if he decides to devote all his time to scoring maximum available score in maths only…
