JAMB SAYS IT IS PREPARED TO REMARK 2013 PAPERS MANUALLY...BUT THERE ARE CONDITIONS...KINDLY RETWEET FOR SAKE OF THOSE AFFECTED!

[caption id="attachment_8920" align="aligncenter" width="593"]JAMB SAYS IT IS PREPARED TO REMARK 2013 PAPERS MANUALLY...BUT THERE ARE CONDITIONS Prof Dibu Ojerinde[/caption]

INTRO

Through a short discussion had  last night with an NTA 10.pm Newscaster, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde had these to say.( conversation paraphrased by LAGOSBOOKSCLUB.COM AND LAGOSBOOKSCLUB.WORDPRESS.COM)

DIALOGUE

Newscaster : Sir, were JAMB computers  reprogrammed to deduct students' scores because of reported malpractices?

Registrar: The Board did no such thing. We do not operate like that.

Newscaster: Will JAMB be prepared to remark students' scripts in case it committed some errors itself? Or what you are saying is that the Board is infallible? In 2009...(Registrar interrupts him).

Registrar: No human system is infallible. But this is an important National exam and we have done our best to reduce/remove such errors.

Newscaster: Are you aware someone has threatened to take JAMB to court over the results it they are not remarked?

Registrar: Yes we are. All citizens have their rights to seek for justice. But we shall  go the extra mile to ensure justice and fair play. We are prepared to let a sample of those requesting for a remark  sit down in a hall with us in the presence of the press to remark about 50 papers chosen randomly in each subject in order to confirm who is right or wrong. We have made provision for manual and computer marking and we shall be willing to do this any day from Monday June 3rd 2013.

Newscaster: But how are grievances supposed to be communicated to you? Do you have existing formal channels for this?

Registrar: Yes of course. Through our offices all over the Federation and other normal communication channels such as e-mail messages etc. But let me add this. Those who cheated know themselves and should not bother the board with what they know is wrong. For instance some candidates were misled by internet fraudsters with what they labeled as questions of modules A and C which never existed. The only modules available were D,I,B.U which are from my name. But in the exam hall some students wrote that they answered questions with modules A and C  obviously supplied to them by internet fraudsters. Even my staff did not know the modules we were going to use for the exam. The problem with most of them is that they do not read their books.

Newscaster: Why do you say so sir?

Registrar: Let me give you an example. We gave them 2 novels to read just to encourage the reading culture and indicated they would be tested on them. So we included 20 questions from these novels. But alas! Most of them failed to answer those questions correctly.

Newscaster: Thanks for coming to give explanations on some of these issues, sir.

Registrar: You are welcome.

JAMB RELEASES ALL RESULTS HAVING BIOMETRIC VALIDATION PROBLEMS

JAMB releases withheld results, begins CBT

[caption id="attachment_8894" align="aligncenter" width="450"]JAMB RELEASES ALL RESULTS HAVING BIOMETRIC VALIDATION PROBLEMS caleb university student[/caption]

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has finally released the results of candidates whose results were initially withheld over non-biometric verification even as 91, 610 candidates will commence the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME. Computer based Test in the 7 various designated centres, CBT from Saturday.

Registrar and Chief Executive of  JAMB, Professor ‘Dibu Ojerinde, while announcing the release of the results of the paper-pencil test and dual-based test conducted a forthnight ago across the nation and two foreign centres, said the CBT will take place in the country and other  countries namely Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom and South Africa.

Ojerinde who had said over 80, 419 results of the candidates were withheld for various reasons, noted that out of this figure, results of 68,309 candidates from various centres were undergoing further screening to ascertain their culpability, while results of 12,110 candidates had been withheld for possible disciplinary action

Saturday Vanguard was reliably informed that the results of candidates withheld over lack of biometric verification have been released.

Some of the candidates, who could not be verified as the biometric could not show their finger print on the day of the examination were listed by the invigilators in the affected examination centres and forwarded to JAMB head-office, Abuja, for scrutiny.

Saturday Vanguard also learnt  that some other results of candidates were also withheld for further investigation of their innocence or otherwise over alleged examination malpractices, have been cleared and their results released while some other serious cases are still pending, as the Board said the exercise was a continuous process until final decision was taken on them.

He said that the scheduled computer-based test will hold from May 18 till June 1 in over 70 centres. He advised candidates to reprint their e-Registration slips afresh to further ascertain their CBT centres.

JAMB 2013 RESULTS…SOME CANDIDATES CHEATED LAST SATURDAY AND TURNED UP IN CHURCH ON SUNDAY FOR "MINISTRATION" AND "TESTIMONY”

[caption id="attachment_8532" align="aligncenter" width="300"]JAMB 2013…SOME CANDIDATES CHEATED LAST SATURDAY AND TURNED UP IN CHURCH ON SUNDAY FOR "MINISTRATION" AND "TESTIMONY” OH! WHAT TANGLED WEBS WE WEAVE WITH FORKED TONGUES AND LYING HEARTS!. Candidates-participating-in-this-year’s-Unified-Tertiary-Matriculation-Examinations-UTME-at-a-centre-in-Lagos-[/caption]

OH! WHAT TANGLED WEBS WE WEAVE WITH FORKED TONGUES AND LYING HEARTS!..DO THEY THINK GOD IS DECEIVED?
Sometimes you wonder how God really feels about us and our many ways of deceit. If you remember armed robbers asking pastors to pray for their success then you cannot but marvel at the very great patience of our EXTREMELY TOLERANT FATHER!
Some people have estimated that last Saturday over 1million candidates out of 1.7million were probably involved in examination practice!.The intension of this post is not to examine why so many were involved. We will do that through another post coming up later.
What this post aims at is the exposition of the dishonesty and disrespect by candidates who cheat or disobey ground rules without blinking one eyelid and who then call on “God of Abraham” to solve troubles brought upon themselves. Why they do not call on satan who inspired them into trouble makes some of them sound like clowns in their statements hereby reproduced below from various websites.

CONCLUSION
1. Most likely not all these people cheated. But using the estimated number of those involved in malpractice last Saturday one can safely say more than half of those using God’s name above were doing so in vain.
2. To what happened last Saturday here is what some readers said
a.“Mak una no dey call God inside this expo things oh! Even mechanics and carpenters had all the subjects since last night.I saw a candidate that did math, not even one question was solved but she shaded all.She was just marking not all was correct though. Nigeria is in trouble!-Allen”
b.“Some candidates who are choristers in my church  cheated last Saturday and turned up on Sunday for "ministration" and "testimony”. Do they think they are deceiving God? -CHRIS

3.If JAMB does not release results as early as it did last year those who cheated should be ready for some nose-bleed.On the other hand JAMB might do so and get many results cancelled eventually. The announcement by the Minister about admission capacity might not be unrelated to what might come from JAMB.
4. This write-up  is also our way of saying that no one who cheated last Saturday should bother registering with us for post-JAMB services. And that if you have paid money into our account as specified in a recent post you should please ask for refund..You know yourselves. Or don’t you?
Thank you.
