Klopp: Arsenal can win the Champions League
Arsenal can win the Champions League, according to the Borussia Dortmund manager.
Arsenal did what nobody tipped them to do, having been beaten at home by Dortmund, they went the Westfalenstadion and won.
The home side's boss Jurgen Klopp said ahead of the game that he loved Arsenal's 'orchestra' type football, and knew they were in for a tough match. He proved right.
Arsenal v Dortmund: Five things we learned
Now Gooners will be praying he is correct in another forecast; he has tipped Arsenal to go on and win the competition.
He said in his post-game press conference:
"Yes (they can win it), they are young, healthy and good technicians. They won a clever game tonight and could go to the final and win it, as long as they don't play against Bayern Munich."
Arsenal's mood right now is that they hold no fear, even of Bayern; while they were dispatched by the eventual winners last season they beat them at the Allianz Arena, and an away win like at Dortmund would only reinforce their confidence of doing it again.
First though they have to seal qualification, with four point from two games the target to seal qualification.
They host Marseille next, who sit bottom of the group with zero points, but must guard against over confidence and bear in mind the close match they put up in the 3-2 loss to Napoli tonight.
And then it will likely come down to a crunch game with Napoli at the San Paolo, with added meaning if Dortmund beat Napoli next week. As Rafa Benitez pointed out today, 12 points may not even be enough to seal qualification.
If they do get through, the Gunners will not fear anybody over two legs, even Bayern.
Can Arsenal win the competition? How confident are you of qualification?
